Angèle, une artiste naturelle et consciente
An atypical education
Originally from Belgium, Angèle was born on December 3, 1995. Her father is a singer and her mother an actress. She initially attended a Catholic school. Finding this very strict style of education unsuitable, she followed her instincts and subsequently enrolled at the Decroly School, whose pedagogy is based on the principles of New Education. This approach emphasizes education in terms of personal development, tailored to each individual, rather than the accumulation of knowledge from a general and predefined curriculum. At this school, each student develops according to their interests and thus learns about themselves. This method is undoubtedly one of the reasons why Angèle is an accomplished and self-assured artist who follows her own path in life, centered on her instincts and interests.

In harmony with herself
A true phenomenon since 2018, Angèle has proven through her social media activity and numerous interviews that she is a woman comfortable in her own skin. Like many, she has faced insecurities, but over the years, and also thanks to her career, Angèle has learned to know herself and what suits her. Natural, she shows herself as she is, without filters. She also recounts that she personally chose the photo for her album cover, a picture of herself as a child, even though it was clearly not beneficial from a marketing perspective. She likes to challenge conventions and do things according to her vision. The music video for her song "Jalousie" is proof of this. Among the dancers in dresses is a male dancer, also in a dress. In this way, Angèle seeks to put everyone on the same level.

Committed to fighting sexism
It might not be visible from the outside, but the music industry, like many others, is rife with sexism. Angèle laments that some people still struggle to accept that she, a woman, writes, composes, and produces her own songs. It is against sexism that she takes a stand with her hit song "Balance ton quoi," a huge success denouncing the objectification of women without regard for their consent.

MAEVY, Incarnation of the Wild Woman
Natural and instinctive, Angèle has learned to stay connected to her own needs and identityin a world where it's easy to lose yourself. Despite her fame, she remains grounded and shows herself as she truly is, comfortable in her own skin. Determined, she uses her influence to fight sexism and is an inspirational role model for many of her fans.
