Once upon a time there was CAMÉLIA, a pair of trousers that made history MAEVY.
It all started with a desire for something new, followed by a hand drawn to a piece of fabric. It's the story of love at first sight, the story of discovering a print, the story of CAMÉLIA.
This story began with a desire to evolve and find a strong print to bring relief and color to the Spring Summer 2021 collection.
Our stylist then set out to find a design she could use for her creations. This quest was no easy task, but after a long search, a miracle occurred in a Bulgarian design studio. While at first glance nothing seemed to appeal to Marina, as she reached into a pile of fabrics that had caught her eye, a flash of inspiration struck—the perfect match she had been waiting for!
In her hand, a strong, inspiring print, carrying so much richness and promise. It had become a source of inspiration, the starting point for the MAEVY summer 2021 collection.
This print was then brought to life on a very special material: viscose. Made from naturally derived polymers , this material mimics the fibers of natural cells. Garments made from viscose are soft, smooth, and comfortable. Furthermore, viscose is naturally lustrous and highly absorbent.
CAMÉLIA is also a wide-legged pant in which any woman can feel comfortable, confident, and free. MAEVY's motto, "Free Movement," takes on its full meaning in CAMÉLIA.
Now, let the creation begin! CAMÉLIA was born in the MAEVY factories, not far from here in Portugal, and is now ready to be delivered to the brand's retailers. Beyond being a favorite with everyone who purchased it, CAMÉLIA has made its mark on MAEVY's history.
