Histoire d'un modèle, le short JAPON
Once upon a time there was a short called JAPAN , a short of a whole new kind from MAEVY, because although Japan may seem to be made of leather, it is not at all .
The story of JAPON began with the discovery of a square of fabric that had a " WOW " effect on Marina, the designer behind MAEVY, when she first saw it. She immediately wanted to learn more about the material and explore the range of colors available in this marvel she had just unearthed. It was a revelation upon seeing such beautiful fabric; she knew instantly that she had to add it to her new collection.
It's important to know that animal welfare is a priority for MAEVY. Therefore, using a leather piece was unthinkable for Marina, as raw materials are selected according to specifications designed to respect people, the environment, and animals as much as possible .
JAPON then became more than just a pair of shorts; it became the very embodiment of this desire. JAPON is a pair of "leather without leather" shorts, in a way, a pair of shorts vegan .
With such a strong connection and such values, JAPON was a perfect fit for the new MAEVY collection. So, even though MAEVY's summer 2021 collection was almost finished , Marina decided to include it . All that remained was to find a suitable name for this magnificent short. The name came from a trip to Japan , one of Marina's favorite journeys. The shape of the garment reminded her of the silhouette of Mount Fuji, and the shorts were given the lovely name JAPON in homage to this incredible trip.
Named JAPON, it was then brought to life in Portugal at the MAEVY factories , where it was carefully crafted before arriving in stores. Japon has clearly met with the success it deserves because, beyond the material it's made of, it's a superb model that offers an incredible look!
